The Sunflower Woodworker's Guild was established in Wichita in 1991. The purpose of the Guild is to build woodworking skills through the sharing of knowledge, and the promotion of our local woodworking community. One way we strive to accomplish this mission is by demonstrating woodworking in the greater Wichita area. These events typically include a "hands on" portion that allows participants to make something.
They have included the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, in Halstead; Brick Street Arts and Crafts, Fun Night, Library, Middle School STEAM, Neighbors Story, and Old Settlers Event. Harvey County Museum in Newton, Kechi's Artisan Lane Festival and Vintage Market, Mount Hope Library and Pride Days, The Big Tool Store Demo in Derby, Valley Center Craft Show, Wichita Senior Center and County extension office.
